The UEFA president took the example of Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé to support his position. “Not all the players who joined Saudi Arabia this summer are at the end of their career. There are players at the end of their career and those who do not have enough ambition to aim for the biggest competitions,” he added. He expressed his opinion that players like Mbappé and Haaland do not dream of Saudi Arabia.

According to the UEFA president, the best players in top form and at the peak of their careers would not be inclined to join Saudi Arabia. “As far as I know, Mbappé and Haaland do not dream of Saudi Arabia. Top players at the top of their game, I don’t think they would go to Saudi Arabia. When I am told about the players who have been there, nobody knows where they play,” he concluded.
