No takeover by Sony, but exclusive PS5 game?

Hideo Kojima and his team at Kojima Productions released their debut title Death Stranding in 2019, followed by one Director’s Cut-Version last year. Of course, players ask themselves: What is Kojima Productions currently working on? While there’s no clarity on that yet, it seems Kojima still wanted to share something with us.

Hideo Kojima recently posted a picture of his studio on Twitter, and it wasn’t long before fans started taking a closer look at the picture. And they discovered some not-so-obvious details. One of those details is a PlayStation 5 development kit. This indicates that the next video game from Kojima Productions will be released for the PS5.

Death Stranding 2 – Is It Actually Coming?

Last year, Death Stranding actors spoke Norman Reedusthat it “Negotiations” to part 2 would exist. While the latest image from Kojima Productions doesn’t indicate that a sequel is in the works, the tweet would “match” with that news.

On the other hand, it was also claimed in October 2021 that Kojima Productions is working on something else: one funded by Sony Silent Hill. A Brand update in March 2022 underscored this thesis. For Kojima disciples that would be a dream. And probably not just for those fans of the classic horror game.

And to complete the confusion: Kojima is also said to have negotiated with Microsoft while creating a cloud-native Xbox exclusive game.

No matter how you look at it, Hideo Kojima is always good for a good rumor and still seems to be a sought-after game studio man in the industry.
