Nothing could launch a special brand for its new headphones

Nothing, which has 3 products in its catalog, would have in mind to create a new brand for new headphones. A way to revive the fervor around the manufacturer?

Nothing, the new company of Carl Pei (the co-founder of OnePlus), has been able to increase media attention with the Ear(1) headphones, to an exacerbated point of tension with the Phone(1) smartphone. The brand’s third product, the Ear(stick) earphones, may have drawn less coverage to them. To revive the hype around Nothing, the company could quite simply decide to… launch a new brand!

A design that contrasts with the other Nothing products

A discovery by developer Kuba Wojciechowski, who dived into the latest firmware delivered by the manufacturer, indeed shows new in-ear headphones still unknown with a very original design, since they look like… peanuts! In any case, they are very different shapes from the other Nothing headphones.

So different that the company could simply decide not to put its mark on it. The name of this product indeed suggests that it will be a completely different brand: ” Particles by XO “. A trademark registration confirmed by the US Patent and Trademark Office. The company that filed it is called…” The Most Unknown LLC » !

While waiting to shed light on this story, we already know some technical characteristics of these Particles headphones. They would thus have active noise cancellation, a function now essential in this range, as well as support for the high definition codec LHDC. Good omens for this future product, which bears the code name “B154”. Nothing uses the code “B155” for its latest headphones.

It is of course premature to predict a launch date and even more so a price. However, the image recovered in the code of the firmware as well as the deposit of the mark leave no doubt on the imminence of a presentation.
