Now they issue an alert for ash fall from the Popocatépetl volcano

The Popocatépetl volcano registered ash exhalations this Monday, which are dispersed to the Northeast.

Civil Protection issued a notice due to the fall of ash in the 16 municipalities of Mexico City.

They recommend staying informed through official channels, covering the nose and mouth with a handkerchief or face mask, cleaning the eyes and throat with pure water, using frame lenses and avoiding contact lenses to reduce eye irritation.

The volcanic alert traffic light remains in Phase 2, Yellow.

-Cover water deposits
-Do not leave food out in the open
-Protects nose and mouth
