Nurses demonstrated for higher wages and more staff – social policy

Vienna – “Health instead of profit”, “Applause is not enough” and “It’s already five past twelve” might be read on dozens of signs when hundreds of nurses drew attention to the precarious situation in nursing during a demonstration on Thursday followingnoon. The federal government had previously announced a reform in care on Thursday morning: a monthly salary bonus, an improvement in care training and relief for caregiving relatives were promised.
