Obama wins Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Narrator

Former US President Barack Obama won a TV award for his role as narrator in Our Great National Parks. The award was presented in the category “Outstanding Narrator”. This was reported on the Academy’s website (.pdf). The 74th Primetime Emmy Awards will take place on September 12 in Los Angeles.

Our Great National Parks is a Netflix series. The five episodes cover the wildlife of the national parks of the United States, Indonesia, Kenya, Chile and other countries. Higher Ground Productions, founded by Barack Obama and his wife Michelle, produced the series with Wild Space and Freeborne Media. Barack Obama previously won a Grammy for the audiobooks for his memoirs My Father’s Dreams and The Audacity of Hope.
