Some professional cameras have the ability to capture images and videos underwater as a differential, but what few people know is that you can do this with great quality using a smartphone with the help of equipment like the Oceanic+ Dive Housing.

Recently announced, the device is designed to work especially with iPhones and is something of an all-in-one. Along with the already renowned app Oceanic+the product helps turn Apple smartphones into both a powerful underwater camera and a dive computer.

Starting with the camera functionality, Oceanic+ Dive Housing allows you to capture water in different modes (such as photo, video and smart mode), as well as apply color correction filters and save images in RAW or JPEG directly in the Photos app.

In addition to enhancing the iPhone camera, Oceanic+ Dive Housing is capable of transforming the device into a complete dive computer, capable of showing real-time information such as depth, dive and decompression time, safety alerts and GPS data.

Speaking specifically of dive housing, the product is completely water resistant and has an automatic vacuum pump to prevent leaks. Made with water-resistant material, it is compatible with all iPhones running iOS 16 or newer (iPhone X models and iPhone SE 2nd and 3rd generation).

Integrated with temperature and depth sensors, Oceanic+ Dive Housing supports depths of up to 60 meters and has a rechargeable battery that guarantees up to 100 hours of operation on a single charge – so users don’t let down during that perfect moment.

Both the camera and dive computer functionality are managed by the Oceanic+ app, which has interesting features (such as quick sharing on social networks) and also helps to synchronize the data obtained on the iPhone with that of the Apple Watch Ultra.

Available to order for now only in North America, the product costs no less than US$490 and should start being sent to buyers from next month.
