Today, October 1st, the weather is expected to improve from Kyushu to the Tokai region. The atmosphere in the Kanto and Hokuriku regions north will continue to be unstable due to fronts and humid air. Even if the sun shines, be careful of sudden heavy rain or thunderstorms.

High pressure from the continent, low pressure and fronts in northern Japan

The live weather map as of 3 a.m. today on the 1st shows a front extending near Honshu. This front will gradually move southward. A high-pressure system filled with dry air is expected to emerge from the continent. Meanwhile, another front or low pressure system will pass near northern Japan.
