By contradicting the opposition with the phrase “the INE does touch itself”, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador reported that today he will send his proposal for legal reform in electoral matterswhich includes the compaction of the institute to save resources and shield the processes to avoid vote buying.
From Campeche, the president assured that in his project taking control of the electoral roll was never considered.
“We have to fight to cleanse the INE of corruption, bias, we have to fight for that, Of course it is touched and it should be touched. Also that it is known that the majority of the people in Mexico want the reform, it is demonstrated in surveys”, he expressed.
He asked not to be surprised at the opposition’s decision to vote against the originally proposed reform, which will be voted on today, and recalled that in this plan Items such as reducing party resources and eliminating multi-members were contemplated.
However, he insisted that it was never raised that the Federation has the electoral roll and not an autonomous body.
He recommended that opponents define themselves and not make a fool of themselves, as well as express publicly that they are against social support and in favor of the privatization of services for the population.
He added that Those who are against the project of the fourth transformation will not be able to stay with the INE to commit fraud and pointed out that PAN senator Xóchitl Gálvez has spoken in favor of removing social programs such as pensions for the elderly, which demonstrates her conception of what a government should do.
Despite this and the campaigns they have launched, he said that the population has spoken out for renewing the INE in accordance with the 4T proposals, although they will not be approved as originally proposed.
During the morning conference and after receiving the president’s support for his management as governor of Campeche, Layda Sansores, flattered him by considering that he is “from an unknown political dimension”, a wise man and the most beloved President.
In the seventh military naval region of Campeche, Sansores thanked the president for the projects that the federation is carrying out in his entity: “We love you, Andrés Manuel”.

The governor also highlighted the fact that the Mayan Train is being built in her entity, a work which she described as “titanic” and announced that the installation of a combined cycle plant is being sought for there to be gas in the entity; he added that López Obrador is the center of a movement determined to transform the country.
Rule out conflicts
Despite the differences they have had, the President assured that he had no problem with Ricardo Monreal and explained that Morena’s candidacy will be defined through a survey among five or ten applicants.
“Whoever comes out, woman or man, who are also my brothers, my sister Claudia, my brother Adán, my brother Marcelo and I have no problems with Monreal, with Noroña, the people will decide, not us.”
Without mentioning specific names, the president reiterated that whoever is not willing to accept the results of the survey to choose the party’s candidate should continue on his way.
