Actor Stephen Kalyn has officially signed on to join Sydney Sweeney in Lionsgate’s upcoming thriller sequel The Housemaid’s Secret. Directed by Paul Feig and set for a December 17, 2027 theatrical release, the film expands the box-office hit franchise with a star-studded cast featuring Kirsten Dunst and Paul Anthony Kelly.
Stephen Kalyn Cast as Brock in The Housemaid Sequel
Following his breakout role in the Prime Video series Off Campus, actor Stephen Kalyn has officially closed a deal to join the cast of Lionsgate’s The Housemaid’s Secret. The project serves as the follow-up to the 2025 box-office hit The Housemaid, which grossed $400 million worldwide during its holiday-season run.
Kalyn is slated to portray Brock, described as a handsome lawyer who is romantically involved with Millie Calloway—played once again by Sydney Sweeney—while remaining entirely in the dark about her criminal past. The film is based on Freida McFadden’s bestselling novel of the same name and is scheduled to open in theaters on December 17, 2027.
“In The Housemaid’s Secret, Millie returns, taking a job keeping house for a woman she’s never allowed to see, only to discover the truth behind the locked door that threatens to expose secrets far darker than her own.”

An All-Star Ensemble Led by Paul Feig
Paul Feig returns to direct the sequel, working from a screenplay by Rebecca Sonnenshine, who adapted the initial book. The production brings together a high-profile ensemble cast alongside Sweeney and Kalyn. Kirsten Dunst joins the production as the mysterious Mrs. Garrick, while Paul Anthony Kelly stars as her husband, Douglas Garrick. Brittany Snow takes on the role of Marybeth, an unassuming receptionist at the Garricks’ company, and Michele Morrone returns to reprise his role as Enzo from the first film.

Producers on the project include Hidden Pictures’ Todd Lieberman, Laura Fischer and Paul Feig for Pretty Dangerous Pictures, and Sydney Sweeney through her Honey Trap banner. Executive producers include Carly Elter and Alex Young, with Kaylee McGregor co-producing. The studio deal was negotiated by Robert Melnik on behalf of Lionsgate, which optioned the trilogy alongside a fourth short-story entry.
A Major Career Milestone for a Rising Streaming Star
The casting marks a significant step for Kalyn, whose rapid ascent follows widespread viewership for Off Campus on Amazon Prime Video. Based on Elle Kennedy’s book series, the streaming hit reached 36 million viewers worldwide over its first 12 days of release, ranking as Prime Video’s third-largest series debut behind The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and Fallout.

While production on The Housemaid’s Secret is slated to begin later this year, Kalyn is also preparing to take center ice for Season 2 of Off Campus, where his character, Dean Di Laurentis, and Mika Abdalla’s Allie Hayes will serve as the college soap’s central couple.
