Accompanied by its iProspect agency, Canon, Official Supplier of the 2023 Rugby World Cup which is being held in France, and Altice Media Ads & Connect are joining forces to create a 100% radio system around the Intégrale Sport on RMC.
RMC is relocating its flagship show “L’Intégrale Sport” to the Fan Zone at Place de la Concorde in Paris to allow its listeners to experience the event as close as possible to the supporters. Canon will be a partner of the RMC radio stand via branding in the brand’s colors alongside the City of Paris. Throughout the competition, Canon will sponsor the show and messages will be broadcast on RMC.
Canon has been involved in Rugby World Cups since 2015: “Official Sponsor of Rugby World Cup 2015”, “Official Sponsor of Rugby World Cup 2019”, so it is only natural that the brand wanted to partner with RMC to this operation. The brand wanted to pay tribute to the incredible career of XV emblematic players of French rugby who have written the most beautiful pages of its history since the 70s: Philippe Sella, Jean-Michel Aguirre, Philippe Bernat-Salles, Yannick Jauzion, Philippe Saint-André, Titou Lamaison, Dimitri Yachvili, André Herrero, Thierry Dusautoir, Imanol Harinordoquy, Abdelatif Benazzi, Jean-François Imbernon, Jean-Pierre Garuet, Philippe Dintrans, Daniel Dubroca. A special tribute is also paid to 10 former players whom Canon wished to honor in the “Olympus of Legends”. Two of them, Pierre Villepreux and Jean Trillo, were present at this Canon event.
This event was organized in collaboration with Jean-Pierre Pages and his team, from Gueules du Rugby, Official Member of the 2023 Rugby World Cup, publisher of 4 collector’s books compiling photo portraits and interviews of the players who represent the DNA of French rugby, as well as with Philippe Sella, Legend of French rugby and Ambassador of Canon France during this 2023 World Cup. Also present, Franck Seguin, Editor-in-chief of the Photo department of L’Équipe and Ambassador Canon France, was able to share his passion for sports photography which perfectly illustrates the power of the image and its ability to tell stories.
