The Drinking Water and Sewerage Service of Lima (Sedapal) confirmed that it will apply a water cut in 22 districts of Lima, especially in the southern zone, starting October 6 and that the suspension of the service would last, in some cases, until 4 days.

This was stated by the state company in response to a query made by Juan Carbajal, user of the social network X (formerly Twitter), regarding the affected districts and the period of the water supply cut.
“We inform you that the outage is true, but it is scheduled for 06/10 in order to carry out pipe splicing work, the service will be restored progressively following 36 to 96 hours following the incident ends,” Sedapal told Juan Carbajal.

List of districts affected by the water cut
The districts affected by the water cut are Santa Anita, Villa El Salvador, Independencia, San Juan de Lurigancho, San Borja, Santiago de Surco, San Juan de Miraflores, Villa María del Triunfo and Chorrillos, as well as Barranco, Surquillo, La Molina , Ate, La Victoria, Miraflores, San Isidro, San Luis, El Agustino, El Rímac, San Martín de Porres and Cieneguilla.
In addition, Sedapal explained that the water service would be restored gradually between 36 and 96 hours, and that the cut is due to the work of splicing a pipe.
