Florianschütz: Lasting peace in the Middle East will not be prevented by rockets from Hamas.
Vienna (OTS) – The first president of the Austrian-Israeli Society (ÖIG), member of the state parliament Peter Florianschütz, expresses great concern about the massive attacks on Israel from the Gaza Strip: “This is obviously an attempt by the leadership of the terrorist organization Hamas to disrupt the emerging process of understanding “Torpedo Israel with its Arab neighbors, especially Saudi Arabia. Our sympathy goes out to the relatives of the victims and the entire population of Israel who are suffering from this aggression,” said Peter Florianschütz.
Florianschütz expresses his conviction that this underhanded attempt to prevent the realization of lasting peace in the Middle East will be doomed to failure. “The ÖIG hopes that there will be an immediate end to the fighting. Until then, the reactions of the Israel Defense Forces are justified and have our full support,” concluded the first president of the ÖIG.
