Ole Miss Tennis enters the 2026 fall campaign featuring a refreshed roster and a demanding slate designed to boost their prospects of capturing a title. The fall semester is individual matches only. There are no team scores until the spring.
Fantasy & Market Impact
- Preseason Rankings Surge: Several new additions, including Niccolo Baroni and Igor Kudriashov, hold notable ITA singles positions.
- Roster Depth Utilization: The influx of experienced collegiate transfers provides head coach Jake Jacoby with deep tactical flexibility.
The Fall Circuit and Individual Development
The fall semester serves as an individual proving ground for the Rebels, completely devoid of official team scoring until spring. The schedule opened in mid-September at the Milwaukee Classic in Milwaukee, Wis., followed by the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla.
The Rebels then travelled to the ITF Fayetteville in Fayetteville, Ark. They will travel to Nashville, Tenn., for the Black and Gold Invitational. They will face collegiate and professional competition in the ITA Regionals in Auburn, Ala., Rome, Ga. Invite and ITF Norman in Norman, Okla. The Rebels will end the fall semester with the ITA Sectionals in Gainesville, Fla., and NCAA Singles & Doubles Championships in Athens, Ga.
Men’s Squad Restructures Through Global Additions
Ole Miss Men’s Tennis welcomed five transfers. Junior Niccolo Baroni arrives from Viareggio, Italy, carrying a No. 52 preseason ITA singles ranking after previously competing for Mississippi State. Fifth-year transfer Igor Kudriashov joins from the Russian University of Sport in Moscow, slotting in at No. 91 nationally in singles and No. 10 on the ITA division newcomer rankings.
Additional veteran depth comes from senior Mason Landreth, a Lafayette, La., native transferring from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette, and senior Moritz Kudernatsch, who arrives in Oxford via the Memphis Tigers. Senior Stefan Vedovelli rounds out the transfer class, coming to the program from the Belmont Bruins. This influx of experience pairs with returning contributors like New Zealand native Kai Milburn and Italy’s Pietro Pampanin, forming a base for spring competition.
