The Minister of Labor, Rachel “Kelly” Olmostoast this monday a press conference to give details about the measures announced to strengthen economic activity and income of workers, monotributistas and retirees.

“As everyone knows, yesterday Sergio Massa made a series of announcements that make up the Program to Strengthen Economic Activity. Within the framework of these announcements, there is our call, this morning, to deepen the aspects that have to do with the income of workers and workers in the private and public sector,” he said, regarding the reasons that justified the press conference.

This Sunday, the Minister of Economy detailed the economic measures that will be applied in the coming weeks to help alleviate the harsh effects of inflation and devaluationwhich will reach retirees, monotributistas, beneficiaries of the Alimentar card and workers in general via cheap credits, among others.

Among the most important measures to be implemented is the payment of a fixed sum of $60,000 in two monthly installments, non-remunerative and one-time, absorbable by parities, for workers in the public and private sectors.

The sum shall benefit 5.5 million workers in the private sector with net salaries of up to $400,000 per month and the State will assume the cost through the payment on account of contributions from Micro (100%) and Small Businesses (50%).

As for public sector employees, A fixed sum of the same amount was established: $60,000 for employees with net salaries of up to $400,000 per month.

“In all cases, these fixed amounts are proportional to the number of hours worked. For example, a teacher, who works a number of hours in a public school and another amount in a private school. In this case, what must be paid each employer is proportional to the workload that said worker has in each specific place,” explained the official.
