Where to watch the Winter Olympics

This Friday, february 4, have started 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. On this day the opening ceremony is held, which will take place in the so-called ‘Bird’s Nest’, the Beijing National Stadium, which kicks off the sports competitions. The tests start from the first day and will last until February 20, with the closing of the games. In this farewell, the Olympic flag will be delivered to the mayors of the Italian cities of Milan and Cortina-D’Ampezzo, where the 2026 Winter Olympics will be hosted.

In these games a total of 15 different sports: Biathlon, Bobsleigh, Nordic Combined, Curling, Freestyle Skiing, Alpine Skiing, Cross Country Skiing, Ice Hockey, Luge, Figure Skating, Speed ​​Skating, Short Track Speed ​​Skating, Ski Jumping, Skeleton and Snowboarding. In these disciplines, Spain shows up in Beijing with 14 athletes, their names were already announced weeks ago by the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE): Ander Mirambell, skeleton; Adrián Díaz and Olivia Smart, figure skating dance; Laura Barquero and Marco Zandron, figure skating; Nuria Pau and Adur Etxezarreta, alpine skiing; Joaquim Salarich, in slalom; Javier Lliso and Thibault Magnin, in freestyle skiing; Imanol Rojo and Jaume Pueyo and Lucas Eguibar and Queralt Castellet on snowboard.

Spanish Calendar

This year, due to the pandemic, there will be no general public who can see the competitions in person, but the tests will can be followed on television, live, through RTVE and Eurosport payment channels, on DAZN. According to the Olympic calendar published by the committee itself, on Thursday the alpine skiing events began in the downhill event, in which Etxezarreta participated.
