Omoda & Jaecoo partners with AiMOGA Robotics to launch Mobo robot

Automotive manufacturer OMODA & JAECOO is expanding its intelligent ecosystem beyond the vehicle cabin, partnering with AiMOGA Robotics to launch the Mobo home companion robot. Announced at the OMODA & JAECOO International User Summit in Wuhu on October 21, 2026, the move marks an industry-wide pivot toward applying automotive-grade autonomous perception to domestic environments.

Automotive Supply Chains Powering Household Robotics

The push into embodied AI is not happening in a vacuum. By using the automotive sector's existing R&D and manufacturing infrastructure, AiMOGA Robotics is attempting to bypass the traditional prototype-to-production bottleneck that plagues many hardware startups. According to the company, the underlying logic of autonomous vehicle perception, motion control models, and supply chain quality management is being directly ported to the Mobo platform. This strategy aims to achieve economies of scale that pure-play robotics firms often struggle to reach early in their lifecycle.

The company confirmed that it has already surpassed 3,000 cumulative commercial deliveries across 60 countries. This existing footprint allows for a closed-loop data iteration cycle, where field data from current commercial deployments informs the software updates for its new consumer-facing products.

Mobo Uses MoAgent to Decompose High-Level Commands

At the center of the consumer rollout is Mobo, a robot designed for elderly, child, and general family care. The hardware is built around the “MoAgent” intelligent agent, which handles task decomposition—the ability to break down high-level user commands into a sequence of actionable physical movements. To achieve this, the system integrates an edge-cloud collaborative architecture, balancing local processing for low-latency responsiveness with cloud-based compute for complex reasoning.

The mechanical specifications include 22 degrees of freedom, providing the necessary range of motion to move through complex home environments. The company emphasizes that these units feature end-to-end data privacy, a critical requirement for devices intended for sensitive household use. Since its first public appearance at the World Robot Conference in August, the firm claims over 10,000 prospective users have registered interest.

Portfolio Diversification Beyond the Home

AiMOGA Robotics is not limiting its scope to household assistants. The company showcased a wider portfolio during the Wuhu summit to demonstrate its technical range across different operational environments. The lineup includes:

  • Mornine: A humanoid robot optimized for high-end business reception.
  • R001: An intelligent security unit designed for public safety patrols.
  • RN001: A specialized robotic nurse for patient guidance in healthcare settings.
  • Argos: A quadrupedal platform intended for outdoor operations and industrial inspection.

To support these deployments, the company is developing a global robotics rental brand. This service-oriented model is intended to lower the barrier to entry for institutions in healthcare, security, and education, allowing them to utilize advanced robotics through operational expense models rather than heavy upfront capital investment.

The Shift Toward Intelligent Mobility Ecosystems

OMODA & JAECOO, which reached one million in sales within three years of operation, is positioning itself as more than an automotive brand.

The company maintains a significant presence in 79 markets, with Europe serving as a key growth region—the brand is currently active in 23 European nations. As of late October 2026, the focus remains on scaling the “Global Angel User Experience Ambassadors” program, which appointed 35 early adopters to assist in the final refinement of Mobo’s behavioral models. With the pre-order window now open, the true test will be the robot’s ability to handle the unpredictable, unstructured nature of real-world home environments compared to the controlled conditions of a factory floor or a showroom.
