A One UI 7 can bring an interesting feature to users of Samsung Galaxy devices. As reported by the portal SamMobilecell phones and tablets compatible with the next version of the operating system will be able to have access to a vertical application drawer.

This functionality, by the way, has been requested by some users and, according to a person responsible for the development of Good Lock, the option will be implemented with the update for the mentioned software. The information was revealed while a question about adding a module related to this was answered.

For those who don’t know, the function could actually be added through a module, but it ended up being removed recently and without any justification. Now, we can deduce that it has to do with the possibility of implementing the feature as native within One UI 7.

The next version of Samsung’s interface should be released in the fourth quarter of this year. It will probably be based on Android 15, the traditional version of which had the first beta released by Google recently. Samsung’s beta program, in turn, should open some time after Google I/O 2024.

Meanwhile, One UI 6.1 with Galaxy AI artificial intelligence features should arrive for more models soon. Specifically speaking, devices from Samsung’s S22 and S21 lines will be able to have access to new features with the update scheduled to arrive in May for compatible products.
