Only four referendums passed the 100,000 hurdle – substantive politics

Vienna – Only four of the 14 referendums that ended on Monday evening have reached the hurdle of 100,000 signatures required for consideration in the National Council. According to the Interior Ministry’s preliminary results, this was achieved by the “Don’t throw away food!” initiatives. (126,767 signatures), “Ban glyphosate” (121,734), “No joining NATO” (109,089) and “No to nuclear power greenwashing” (105,955 signatures).
