The Director General of Health Affairs in the Northern Borders Region, Alwan bin Saleh Al-Shamrani, inaugurated the activities of the Unified Gulf Week to promote oral and dental health under the slogan, (My health starts from my mouth). Community members on the importance and method of dental care, activating the role of community institutions in supporting and implementing preventive programs, the preventive role of the dental workforce, and the participation of health service providers in implementing preventive programs for oral and dental health.
The activities that target community members such as children, parents, doctors, and workers in the health sectors vary in order to educate them about oral and dental health care and its impact on individual health, including health education, complications of diabetes and its impact on oral and dental health, healthy behaviors and their impact on oral and dental health, and “I Can” for People of Determination, and introducing new oral health services.
