Vienna – Hardly any media law has recently caused as much excitement as the planned ORF law amendment. It brings a new regulation of ORF financing and more opportunities for the public media company in the digital sector. Some of the private competition criticized the project sharply. The amendment might pass the Council of Ministers on Wednesday following the numerous opinions have been examined. The law is to be finalized in Parliament before the summer break.
