It is true that herbicides are effective, but there are also eco-friendly solutions to consider that are easy to prepare at home. Regardless of your views on organic or conventional gardening, it’s always wise to try low-toxic herbicides before moving on to strong poisons.
Vinaigre-herbicide:
The acetic acid in vinegar kills the leaves of weed plants, not their roots. However, if you vape the herb often enough, this method will cause the herb’s energy reserves to be depleted and eventually eliminate it.
- 460 ml (2 cups) of water
- 345 ml (1½ cups) vinegar (white or cider)
- 115 ml (½ cup) dishwashing liquid
Using a funnel, pour all the ingredients into a liter spray bottle. Shake it to mix well. Spray the solution directly on the weeds (avoid spraying it on your plants).
