Saad Al-Shehri, coach of the Saudi Olympic team, revealed that the teams are working on preparing a team for the Paris Olympics in 2024.
Al-Shehri explained during an interview in the Sports Bulletin on “Al-Arabiya”: We are in good contact with the management of the first team, and we always believe that the first team is the one that has priority and importance.
He added, “The current Dubai camp is where we offer good levels, and the current list is almost the one that will participate in the next Asian Cup in Uzbekistan in June.”
He explained: We face some problems when holding official tournaments during periods that are not part of the international suspension from FIFA, and our goal is to win any tournament hosted by Saudi Arabia, including the Gulf Olympic Championship. Our goal is to prepare the Paris 2024 Olympic team.
The Olympic team coach concluded: We seek to recall some players despite the participation of their clubs in local tournaments, despite the difficulty of the dilemma.
