Al-Marsad Newspaper: A citizen documented a video clip in which he criticized the high prices of cafes owned by citizens, and commented: “We rode the wave at the beginning, support the Saudis, you are the most merciful of the Saudis.”

He explained that the price of a cup of coffee reaches 45 riyals, while its cost does not exceed 3 or 4 riyals. He continued: “Sweet for 35 riyals, and green tea for 14 riyals.. What an invitation.” And he added, “By God, it is no longer enough that you are only Saudi. I focus on the quality of the product and the price.”

He indicated that he had a coffee with two of his friends inside a cafe, and the bill amounted to 300 riyals. Pointing out that if a foreigner is found next to the Saudi who sells at half the price, he will buy from the foreigner.

And he directed his speech to the owners of the cafes, saying: “My dear, you are working on a project, and you will recover the capital within two or 4 years, not in two weeks.” And he added: “Keep your policy flexible and contain room, so do not make me feel that your project is a year and you will close it.”
