The Washington Capitals defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets 6-2 in the away game of the NHL regular season.
As part of the winners, one of the goals was scored by Russian forward Alexander Ovechkin (54th minute), Jay Oshie (21, 47), Nicholas Obe-Kubel (32), Martin Fehervari (38) and Garnet Hathaway (39) also scored. Losers have goals on account of Johnny Gaudreau (6) and Gavin Beiruter (33).
Ovechkin scored for the fourth game in a row, with a total of 809 goals in the regular season, in the history of the NHL, the Russian is second only to Wayne Gretzky (894). This season, this is already his 29th puck, the Washington captain is third in the list of snipers, behind Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers (33) and Tage Thompson of the Buffalo Sabers (30).
Ovechkin also scored 1458th point and in the list of top scorers in the history of the NHL regular championships came in 16th place, ahead of Finn Teemu Selanne. Gretzky is in the lead (2857).

Another Russian, Andrei Kuzmenko, scored a double and brought the Vancouver Canucks a victory over the Colorado Avalanche (4:2). The Russian striker became the best player of the meeting.
