Ali Khan, a 62-year-old school bus aide in Pennsylvania, has been arrested on multiple charges after police allege he inappropriately touched a 14-year-old student with special needs and recorded her using a cellphone. Khan is currently detained at the Bucks County Correctional Facility after failing to post 10% of a $500,000 bail.
Bensalem Police Investigation and Evidence
The Bensalem Township Police Department launched an investigation after the victim’s parents filed a report on Thursday, July 30. According to investigators, the incidents occurred over two days, Wednesday, July 29, and Thursday, July 30, while the student was being transported to the Bensalem High School’s extended school year program.
Police stated that surveillance footage from inside the bus provided critical evidence. The footage allegedly shows Khan directing the girl to a specific seat and touching her inappropriately both while securing her seatbelt and after she was seated. Investigators further stated that the recordings appear to show Khan engaging in sexual conduct and using his mobile device to photograph or record the student.
The Bensalem Township Police Department commended the victim for her courage in reporting the assault and acknowledged the assistance provided by the school district during the criminal probe.
