PSG boss Nasser Al-Khelaifi continues to have trouble with the judiciary. The Swiss public prosecutor is now demanding a long prison sentence.

Nasser Al-Khelaifi is still in the focus of Swiss investigative authorities and the public prosecutor. She now wants to obtain a prison sentence for the PSG boss in the second attempt.

It’s about Al-Khelaifi’s work related to the TV rights award for the 2018 to 2030 World Cup. The 48-year-old plays a crucial role in the FIFA scandal, according to the investigators. Al-Khelaifi, as the owner of the BeIN media group, allegedly gave former FIFA Secretary General Jerome Valcke “undue advantages” before the rights were granted.

Prosecutors want 28 months in prison for Al-Khelaifi

Initial criminal proceedings were initiated as early as 2017, but Al-Khelaifi was acquitted a year and a half ago. Now the federal prosecutor’s office in front of the court of appeal of the Federal Criminal Court is apparently again filing a criminal complaint for “inciting serious unfaithful management.” This is reported by the French sports newspaper The Team.

The public prosecutor’s office is said to be demanding 28 months in prison for Al-Khelaifi for the second trial, and comrade-in-arms Valcke is even said to be in prison for 35 months.
