Paris: the Book Fair makes its festival

In 2022, the book fair becomes the Paris Book Festival. Signing sessions, readings, interviews and debates promise as many unexpected and unprecedented encounters between authors and readers in several places in the capital.

the occasion of the 75e indian independence anniversary, indian letters will be given pride of place at this new festival.

In a majestic pavilion, a few meters from the Eiffel Tower, you will explore the treasures of a literature as inventive as it is daring, rich in an ancestral cultural heritage.

In the walls

The beating heart of the festival and reception site for exhibitors, an exceptional place: le Ephemeral Grand Palace. The Agora, the four literary cafés and the two workshops will host a plural, daring program free from gender constraints. Admission will be free but online booking on site is mandatory.

Paris Museums stand

Editions de Paris Musées publish around thirty titles each year (exhibition catalogues, collections guide, etc.): reference works that accompany the programming of exhibitions and distribute the collections of the 14 museums of the City of Paris. For this first edition of the Paris Book Festival, from Friday 22 to Sunday 24 April, you can find us at the Grand Palais Éphémère on stand 1101. Come and discover the news of our publications, with a selection of our most recent exhibition catalogues, leaf through our museum guides or admire our children’s books. A way to tour our exhibitions and museums in a single visit! The Petit Palais Museum will also host the Paris Book Festival for conferences throughout the duration of the festival.

Vote for the Readers’ Choice Award

The prize for readers of the libraries of the City of Paris devotes each year a first novel. On the occasion of the Paris Book Festival, readers are invited to come and vote on stand n°1101 of the Editions Paris Musées where the selection of the five novels in the running for the 2022 edition will be presented. These books explore themes in taken with society with chronicles of ordinary and daily life around adolescence, female friendship, impossible loves, the relationship to the singular world of a young deaf woman and take us on a maritime epic aboard a freighter and that of the gypsy people.
