According to fellow singer Park Jun-ha on the 18th, the deceased, who was born in 1965, was unable to recover and passed away at Asan Medical Center in Seoul, where he was hospitalized for liver surgery due to liver cirrhosis and diabetes.

Park Jung-woon was investigated for involvement in a cryptocurrency fraud case in 2017, and was sentenced to 8 months in prison and 2 years of probation the following year. The deceased was said to have suffered from stress at the time, expressing his injustice to his colleagues.

In 2020, Park Jung-woon released a new album and worked on music with Park Jun-ha, whom he had known for more than 30 years, but was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis and diabetes in the process of visiting the hospital because his voice did not come out.

Park Jung-woon played an unreleased demo song he had recorded in the past to Park Jun-ha, and showed his enthusiasm for rehabilitation, saying, “I miss the clear voice I had when I was young.”

After receiving treatment at the hospital, the deceased worked hard day and night to practice to raise his voice, and even found a mountain where the air was good, and refined his sound, but it is said that he did not see much effect due to his illness.

Park Jun-ha was preparing a new album with Park Jung-woon in a collaboration method by recruiting junior singers.
