Michel Berry, suffering from Parkinson’s disease, set off from the Basque Country last March on a 3,970 km tour of France on foot in 199 stages. The objective: “to deliver a message of hope to certain patients who may tend to let go when the diagnosis is announced,” he admits by telephone.
Michel contacted France Parkinson, which has local committees throughout France. He will thus stop in Péronnas during the information day planned by Laurence Dussaut on May 10th. When his diagnosis was announced in 2019, he took on this crazy bet with his friend Caroline, who was responsible for following him in a motorhome.

“We especially want to meet people to talk about this disease and break down preconceived ideas. It is also a way to promote physical activity and collect donations for research. In the end, Michel Berry will cross 37 departments and will conclude his epic in the Basque Country.
