Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri received, at the headquarters of the second presidency in Ain al-Tineh, the Minister of Education and Higher Education in the caretaker government, Abbas al-Halabi, where he presented the general conditions, in addition to educational affairs, especially the issue of the advance approved by the Council of Ministers for the benefit of educational bodies in public schools and how to provide The ingredients for the start of the new academic year.
After the meeting, Al-Halabi said: “I was honored by the visit of the Speaker of Parliament, Professor Nabih Berri, and of course we discussed the subject of the next academic year in public schools, and in the Lebanese University, and the challenges facing the launch of this year. I told the President that I toured today the special session in the examination centers.” Of course, on this occasion, I address the educational body to the teachers and all the names in all the sites that participated in this session as well, and I thank them and stress their hands, because they are always at the forefront of those who respond to the call in achieving educational benefits.
He added, “I also discussed the issue of disbursing the advance payment approved by the Council of Ministers for the benefit of educational bodies in public schools, and how to accomplish this matter in a way that provides the necessary means for the start of the academic year. We have contacted His Excellency the Acting Governor of the Banque du Liban, who will visit him in the next two days.”
