Patrol boat detained at the Police Directorate in Bogotá would have diverted more than $200 million

In the facilities of the Directorate of the National Police in Bogota a patrol boat was captured accused of embezzlement by appropriation in favor of third parties, procedural fraud, disobedience and abusive access to the information system.

And it is that, according to what General Marco Aurelio Bolívar, Military Criminal Attorney General and Police of the Military Criminal Justice, told BLU Radio, since last November 12 received an alert from the same address, so they opened the investigation that today led to the arrest.

The main finding of the investigations is that this woman, who goes by the last name of Morales Palma, who worked for the Treasury department, would have diverted $200 million to third-party bank accounts, including family members. These resources are part of the Police treasury.

“There is a contest of crimes, especially abusive access to the information system, which was one of the points where the collection of evidence was concentrated. All of this is part of the strategy from the top command to promote transparency”said General Bolívar.

While the judicial process against the patrol car advances, the Military Criminal Justice will continue to investigate the possible participation of other officials in the loss of this money, as well as working with the banking entities in the recovery of it.
