FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Mastodons cross country teams will take on a challenging field on Saturday (Sept. 30) at the Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh.

Men’s Preview

Harrison Niswander paced the ‘Dons in their last race at the Jaguar Invitational. The sophomore made up four spots in the final 7K to finish 12th overall with a time of 25:24.3. That’s a new personal best time for Niswander who now ranks ninth overall in the program’s records. Austin Hall was next for Purdue Fort Wayne, crossing the line at 26:03.5 with Nicholas Mills close behind at 26:08.4. Kehinde Oladapo (26:31.4) and Nathan Mills (27:00.5) rounded out the ‘Dons top five.

Women’s Preview

Madison King took home her second individual win of the season with a time of 17:16.91 at the Jaguar Invitational to pick up the Horizon League Runner of the Week Award. She ran a personal best 17:16.7 in the first 5K race of the season and ran within a second of her first time on her way to the individual title. Brooke Neal and Riley Tate each finished in the meet’s top 10 as well. Neal ran a time of 18:16.4 and placed seventh overall while Tate ran her new personal best time of 18:23.2 and placed ninth overall.
