The streaming platform Paulistão Play, which will show the 2024 Campeonato Paulista games, signed an agreement with Vivo and will release channels broadcasting matches for subscribers of premium packages via the Vivo Play app.

According to information from columnist Allan Simon, from UOL, the São Paulo Football Federation, responsible for the platform, is also in negotiations with other operators, who are also interested in offering the service to their subscribers.

It is worth noting that Paulistão Play will show almost all the games of the Campeonato Paulista 2024. The platform will only not broadcast 13 matches (one per round in the group stage and one in the quarter-finals) that are exclusive to TNT Sports.

It is worth remembering that this week, the service announced that it will cost R$19.90 per month, or R$49.90 for the entire competition period. Paulistão Play has been operating since the 2022 edition of the competition, as an alternative to Premiere, from Globo, whose contract ended in 2023.

In addition to Paulistão Play, fans will be able to watch the Campeonato Paulista with 16 games on Record, 50 matches on CazéTV (YouTube), and 28 duels on TNT Sports. Of these, only the 13 matches from the TNT quota will not be on the PPV.

O Paulista championship is about to start and now users will know the values of the modality PPV (pay-per-view) of the competition’s games for this year. For those interested, Paulistão Play can be subscribed for the amount of R$ 19,90 monthly, but whoever prefers, will have the option of a single plan, valid during the tournament for R$ 49,90.

Throughout Paulistão, the service will show seven matches per round in the first phase. In this sense, the only exception will be games that will be broadcast exclusively on TNT Sports (TNT e HBO Max). However, the service may not be a very relevant option for fans of one of São Paulo’s big four who want to follow the club’s games.

In fact, Paulistão Play will broadcast the matches of the big four, but none of them will be exclusive. Likewise, teams like Guarani, Portuguesa and Red Bull Bragantino will not have games shown only on the platform. This way, only smaller clubs will have exclusive matches broadcast on the service.

Even so, Paulistão Play will be the only option available in terms of PPV, as Premiere will not have championship games. It is worth remembering that Record, with R7, will also have games shown, as well as YouTube, through CazéTV. In the first round, TNT will exclusively have the game between São Paulo and Santo André this Saturday, at 8pm.

Meanwhile, Paulistão Play’s exclusive game will be São Bernardo x Ituano, which takes place the following day (21st) at 4pm. The same happens in the second round, in which the service will only have Santo André x Novorizontino. The platform will have two exclusive games on classic days involving two of the big four, but with lesser teams.
