A large contingent of police arrived at the residence in Erattupetta in search of George, but he was not there. Neighbors told police George had been home for hours. The police checked the CCTV footage of the house as it was not available on the phone. Relatives were also searched. It is learned that he left home in another vehicle instead of his regular one. Officials say it is unclear where he is.

The court held that it was prima facie clear that the petitioner’s remarks were inciting hatred and malicious intent between the Muslims and other communities in the state.
