They capture in Antioquia one of the most wanted criminals in Chocó

The authorities captured in Ciudad Bolívar (Southwest Antioquia), alias Yimbo, listed by the National Police as one of the most wanted criminals in Chocó and who is accused of being the alleged ringleader of zone II of the criminal group Los Mexicanos, from Quibdó, the capital of that department.

According to Brigadier General Gustavo Franco Gómez, commander of Police Region No. 6, the man was arrested in a joint operation with the Attorney General’s Office in the municipality of Antioquia, where he was hiding from the authorities, after leaving the Chocó capital several months ago.

The case report shows that “Yimbo”, who is 36 years old, fled after the capture of alias Chuky, who previously served as the head of the criminal structure. Initially, alias Yimbo would have fled from Quibdó to the San Juan region, in Chocó, and later to Antioquia.

Likewise, the authorities confirmed that alias Yimbo was requested by arrest warrant for the crime of aggravated conspiracy to commit a crime, use of minors in the commission of crimes and would be involved in forced displacement, extortion, territorial control and at least three homicides.

The arrest of the subject occurred exactly in the district of Farallones, in Ciudad Bolívar, while the police carried out patrolling and control tasks. “This subject intended to expand his criminal hegemony towards the municipalities of Ciudad Bolívar, Salgar, Tarso and Pueblo Rico, due to possible alliances with other criminal groups and leaders, some of them deprived of their liberty,” the case report indicated.

A judge ordered alias “Yimbo” to be secured in a prison center, according to the Antioquia Police Department, which also reiterated the call to the community to contact the line 312 401 02 48 if they have information that allows the capture of alleged criminals. that affect the security in the department.
