A few hours ago, the Minister of the Interior and Public Security herself, Izkia Sichessaid that as a portfolio they requested “accelerate the investigative skills in this particular case” and instructed the lawyers to “request the most burdensome precautionary measures” for the suspects.

He also stressed that “there is a special PDI team working with the prosecutor to find those responsible.”

Through his Twitter account, the Signal 3 of La Victoria urged the Prosecutor’s Office to “investigate the link” of the suspect arrested tonight with the accused Luis Flores and Yonaiker Fuenmayorwho earlier were formalized for illegal possession of weapons and shooting on public roads in the context of Sunday’s riots in Meiggs.

In the instance, the Third Guarantee Court accepted the request of the Public Ministry and the plaintiffs and established the precautionary measure of full house arrest against both subjects. After the court’s decision, the head of the Study Unit of the North Metropolitan Ombudsman, Octavio Sufán, stated that the Prosecutor’s Office “he has obtained the most burdensome precautionary measure to which he could aspire”assuring that the precautionary measures were determined because the two detainees would not be related to the injuries.

“We witnessed the investigative steps carried out by both the Homicide Brigade and the Public Ministry and it seems to us that they are on the right track to determine the identity of the true authors. In that sense, the two people detained today have no participation in the injuries, in the injuries that were generated with respect to a reporter and two other people who were in the demonstrations”he indicated.
