Two men argued over who has priority on the road and one bit and cut the other’s ear, driving him to the hospital. The victim, who is a distributor, and his lawyer speak to newsit.gr.
The incredible incident happened on the morning of Thursday 15/02 at the 3rd kilometer of the Giannitsa – Thessaloniki National Road.

The fight started over which of the two men had priority on the road. The assailant got out of his vehicle and, after holding hands, bit the 33-year-old distributor on the ear, amputating part of it. The victim was taken to the hospital where he is being treated. The perpetrator was arrested as the victim filed a lawsuit against him for causing bodily harm, resulting in the formation of a case file that was submitted to the public prosecutor of Protodikos Giannitsa.
He speaks to newsit.gr from the hospital and shocks…
“This man broke a stop sign and I reacted by hitting the brakes to avoid a collision and shouting what are you doing, you don’t see the stop sign… Then he started swearing at me and got out of his car and attacked me in a rage. I tried to defend myself, he broke my fingers and, while hitting me hard, he sharply bit my ear, cutting off a piece with his teeth. I saw it in his mouth and then down on the ground. I am shocked. I work to feed my family and I think they will be on their own now. I have excruciating pains all over my body and I don’t know if my health will return. The doctors told me that more surgeries will be needed.”
The lawyer of the victim Antonis Xylourgidis emphasizes to newsit.gr:
“A while ago I visited the victim of the brutal attack at Papageorgiou Hospital as I was asked to undertake his defense.
A day laborer who works to support his four children today is hospitalized with multiple injuries and an amputated limb due to a vicious attack by a motorist who saw fit to endanger the life of a fellow citizen.

I am truly sorry to hear that the gentleman in question has been released and this sends multiple messages to would-be bullies of a similar mindset. I have already received an order to file a lawsuit for the offenses that have been committed against my principal, but his recovery is priority if it becomes possible as the doctors expressed strong concerns”.
