The metallurgical company Met-Mex Peñoles began an investigation to find out the causes of the accident in which a collaborator lost his life in the foundry area, this Wednesday morning.
Through a statement, the company regretted what happened and informed that in accordance with the emergency protocols, the security brigades implemented immediate actions and the corresponding authorities were informed of what happened.
Company representatives maintain contact with the employee’s family to provide them with accompaniment in this complicated process and all the support they require.
CIVIL PROTECTION DISCARDS RISK TO THE COMMUNITY
The Torreón Civil Protection Directorate received a report on an accident registered inside the plant of the metallurgical company Met – Mex Peñoles, which occurred around midnight.
The accident occurred in the foundry area of the plant and was controlled by specialized personnel from the company’s security brigades, registering the death of a worker at the scene.
Following the established protocols, Civil Protection personnel, in coordination with the Torreón Heroic Fire Department, went to the place to verify that there was no danger outside the plant that could put the community at risk, ruling out any situation.
It was reported that No reports were received from the neighbors on any situation derived from the event that should be addressed.
