On April 6, 2023, shortly after 1:00 p.m., a verbal altercation broke out between a 54-year-old from the Vöcklabruck district and an 83-year-old from the Gmunden district in front of a shop in the Gmunden district.
The argument then moved to the entrance area. The 54-year-old is said to have pushed the 83-year-old, who was walking with a cane, against a wall and then thrown him to the ground. On the ground, the two men were separated by passers-by after a short scramble.
The 83-year-old was taken to hospital and the cause of the altercation is still being determined, police said.
