An 81-year-old died early Monday followingnoon while hiking in his home district of Graz-Umwelt. According to the police, the pensioner was traveling with his daughter on the Kugelstein in the municipality of Frohnleiten. Just before 1:30 p.m., he slipped on a sloping path and fell regarding 15 meters over a rock fall. His daughter called the emergency services, but resuscitation was unsuccessful.
