Shortly after 12 p.m., the Zurich City Police Operations Center received a report that there had been an accident between a tram and a pedestrian at the Stauffacher stop. According to a statement from the Zurich city police, a tram 2000 on line 8 drove on Stauffacherstrasse in the direction of Helvetiaplatz and stopped at the stop.
After the boarding process, the tram drove off. For reasons that have not yet been clarified, a pensioner who was at the stop was dragged a few meters by the tram. The man had to be taken to the hospital with serious injuries by the paramedics from Protection & Rescue Zurich. (neo)
