Peritus Capital is acting as lead arranger and financial advisor to Pacifico Aquaculture on Equilibrium's project financing

New York (ots/PRNewswire) – Peritus Capital is pleased to announce its role as lead arranger and financial advisor to Pacifico Aquaculture SAPI de CV (Pacifico) regarding the project financing agreement with Equilibrium Capital. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The funding will go toward the construction of a state-of-the-art recirculating aquaculture facility that will expand Pacifico’s rearing and hatching capacity for striped bass juveniles before deploying them to nursery ponds on Mexico’s Pacific coast.

The use of RAS for juvenile fish rearing and fish enlargement prior to sea-rearing is a proven strategy in developed large-scale farms. Applying this strategy can reduce disease and predation-related fish mortality, improve feed conversion, and increase profitability and marine sustainability.

This transaction marks the first time a commercial-scale RAS facility has been integrated into a striped bass breeding facility, supporting Pacifico’s tremendous growth plans.

Pacifico Aquaculture SAPI de CV (Pacifico) is a portfolio company of Butterfly Equity, a food-focused private equity firm with over $4 billion in assets under management.
