How to help the person with a disability to understand the concept of consent, and what it implies in their daily life? What is the difference between autonomy, self-determination, consent? What the law says ? Love life, housing, care, how does this concept come about? Learning to consent is an evolutionary, dynamic and interactive process from an early age. The Gerontology and Palliative Care Health Network in Champagne-Ardennes (RéGéCap) works in collaboration with the people concerned and offers several documents.
After having published in 2022 a guide on the consent of people with disabilities intended for professionals, it presents a version for the data subject in Falc (easy to understand) and a video worked with the Capa’cité collective and the Adapei Papillons Blancs D’Alsace, in order to facilitate its appropriation by everyone.
