petristas, outraged by controversial appointment of the president

The national government, led by President Gustavo Petro, recently appointed Juan Manuel Corzo as Colombia’s ambassador to Paraguay. This controversial decision generated hundreds of criticisms on different social networks.

Even several followers of the Cordovan head of state did not let this issue go unnoticed and strongly questioned this designation. Lawyer Miguel Ángel del Río stated that it is unacceptable for Corzo to assume such an important position.

“The appointment of Juan Manuel Corzo as ambassador is unacceptable. A man who represents everything we have faced”, said the lawyer on his personal Twitter account, where he has been very active.

While the Twitter user David Rozo shared the following message: “CAN NOT BE. How is it possible that Juan Manuel Corzo, former ambassador of Iván Duque and former congressman who said that “his salary is not even enough to pay for gasoline,” was appointed ambassador to Paraguay? This country can no longer resist one more questionable appointment.”

It should be remembered that Juan Manuel Corzo unleashed a whole wave of indignation in the country in 2011 because he publicly stated that he had no way to pay for the gasoline for two vehicles when he was president of the Senate.
