Phantom Blade Zero es un juego de acción desarrollado por S-GAME para PC y PlayStation 5 cuyo lanzamiento está previsto para el próximo 29 de octubre. Players step into the role of Soul, a warrior cursed with only 66 days left to live as he navigates assassins, conspiracies, and high-stakes martial arts combat powered by Unreal Engine 5.
Anticipation for the title has grown steadily following hands-on previews at major gaming showcases. According to 3DJuegos, the studio’s director, Soulframe Liang, insisted from the start that his team was not building another standard soulslike. Instead, the developers aimed to merge the frantic pace of traditional hack-and-slash games with the design principles of FromSoftware.
What Lies Ahead in the 66-Day Campaign
Recent six-hour preview sessions offered a deeper look into the structure of the campaign. Vandal reported that the adventure spans roughly eight semi-open biomas and will take players between 25 and 30 hours to complete if they maintain a steady pace through boss encounters. Soul’s journey involves traversing interconnected regions separated by loading screens while tracking down targets and managing side quests.
The combat mechanics break away from conventional attack-and-defuse cycles. HobbyConsolas noted that Liang considers the separation between attack and defense to be the game’s defining feature. Players can attack, defend, and evade simultaneously without waiting through rigid pauses. This design is built on a heavy emphasis on dynamic parries and continuous combos.
An Arsenal of Fifty-Five Weapons
Players can equip two main weapons alongside a secondary weapon, switching between them dynamically to manage the Sha-Chi defense resource and break enemy guards. Vandal confirmed that the lineup includes more than 30 primary weapons and 25 secondary tools, each possessing unique move sets and mechanical properties.

Boss encounters test this system extensively. Vandal described these fights as demanding and mechanically intricate, requiring players to interpret enemy body language rather than relying on brute force.
Physical Edition Uncertainty and Digital Launch Plans
Hardware Premium reported that the physical release of Phantom Blade Zero on PlayStation 5 remains uncertain after online retailer Playasia removed the game from its catalog following customer inquiries. S-GAME has not yet issued an official statement clarifying whether the title will release exclusively as a digital download or if boxed copies will eventually reach stores like Amazon.

Despite questions surrounding physical media, the PC and PlayStation 5 digital launches proceed as scheduled on October 29, 2026, across Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the PlayStation Store.
