Pierre Guthrie says he has never given up on his goal of becoming an F1 World Champion.
AlphaTauri F1 Pierre Guthrie was one of the outstanding performers of 2021 and finished in the top six multiple times, including the podium in Baku.

Pierre Guthrie admits that 2021’s personal ambition was to improve consistency throughout the race weekend and often overdrive the car to make up for the inferior parts of the past.
“I wanted to work on consistency because performance is fine when the car is great, but I wanted to get the most out of my machine when it wasn’t that good,” Pierre Guthrie said. Explained.

Pierre Guthrie experienced how valuable it was to be the team’s lead driver, citing AlphaTauri’s focus on himself as a key factor in 2021’s performance.
“Max’s situation at Red Bull is that the whole team is around him, which is why they are in a position to win the championship,” Pierre Guthrie points out.
“Lewis (Hamilton) is in a position to win the championship because the entire Mercedes team supports him. If they are not in that position, they will not be able to achieve that performance alone.”
