Pierre Naftule, producer and director from Geneva, died at 61

Geneva screenwriter and producer Pierre Naftule died on Saturday at his home at the age of 61, we learned on Sunday. In particular, he had created the character of Marie-Thérèse Porchet with Joseph Gorgoni and participated in numerous Revues genevoises.

From 1988 to 1989, he had his show “Naftule you are fired” on Radio Suisse Romande.

During the Revue genevoise in 1993, he created with Joseph Gorgoni the character of Marie-Thérèse Porchet, of which he became the scriptwriter. Their first show, “The sow is in me”, was produced in 1996.

Evoking Pierre Naftule, Joseph Gorgoni indicated in 2012 in the columns of L’Hebdo: “I tell, he notes everything, then sorts, organizes, rewrites and then the text goes boom!”

Geneva and Lausanne reviews

Pierre Naftule was alternately scriptwriter, producer and director of fifteen Revues genevoises between 1990 and 2017. In 2018, he also participated in the creation of the “Nouvelle revue de Lausanne”.

He has also collaborated with comedians and actors Yann Lambiel, Laurent Deshusses, Thierry Meury and Pascal Bernheim, and he has been the agent of young talents, including Thomas Wiesel.

He had suffered from Charcot’s disease since 2017.
