Plane crashes into control tower in Germany

In the east of Germany, an airplane crashed into the control tower of a regional airport. The device is now hanging on the tower. Miraculously, the tower seems to have hardly any damage; not even windows would have been broken.

The two occupants were taken to a hospital with unknown injuries. It concerns the pilot (68) and his 46-year-old son. A man who was in the control tower at the time of the crash was unharmed.

The accident happened at Eggersdorf Airport, about 50 kilometers east of Berlin. According to the police, the recovery of the wreck is difficult. Inside the propeller plane is a small missile that can fire a parachute, as part of a rescue system. That missile must first be deactivated.
