| Planes collide during US airshow; 6 Death

Washington: Two planes collided during an air exercise and crashed at the Dallas Executive Airport in Texas. Reports are that all the six people on board have died.

A large bomber B-17 and a Bell P.-63 King Cobra collided and became a fireball. A glimpse of the disaster can be seen in the footage captured by those who came to watch the airshow. It shows the B-17 flying not so high. A King Cobra, a small aircraft flying towards this aircraft from the left, crashed into the top of the B-17. With this, both the planes fell down in pieces. The footage also shows them becoming fireballs on the ground within seconds.

The planes took off during the Wings Over Dallas airshow. The US Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board said they would investigate the crash. The mayor of Dallas said that some information about the accident has yet to be confirmed.

The B-17 bomber is a four-engine aircraft. He played a crucial role in winning the air war against Germany in World War II. The P-63 King Cobra was a fighter aircraft developed by the Bell Company during the same war. But this aircraft was used only by the Soviet Union during World War II.

Earlier, a B-17 plane crashed on October 2, 2019. Seven people died in the accident at Windsor Locks airport that day.
